Jamie Hassall Shortlisted for Second Apprentice Award in 2026

Second Awards Final for ABL's Star Apprentice

We’re delighted to announce that ABL apprentice Jamie Hassall has been shortlisted for a second apprentice award in 2026, this time for the ALFED Rising Star Apprentice Award.

Jamie was previously shortlisted for the Learner of the Year Award at the 2026 In-Comm Awards, making this his second award nomination this year and further recognition of the progress he has made during his apprenticeship with ABL.

The ALFED Rising Star Apprentice Award recognises apprentices who are developing their skills, making a positive contribution to their workplace and showing strong potential for a future career within the aluminium industry.

Jamie has continued to build his knowledge and practical skills throughout his apprenticeship, gaining experience across the business and becoming an increasingly valued member of the ABL team.

Our General Manager Nick Dawson said:

“To see Jamie shortlisted for a second award this year is a fantastic achievement. He’s worked hard throughout his apprenticeship and it’s been great to see the progress he’s made. He has quickly established himself as a key part of the team and is now regularly sought after by his peers and leadership team alike, to be a major part of any new initiatives that the team are thinking of introducing to the business. We’re really proud to see that his efforts have been recognised again.”
