ABL Aluminium Components Ltd Shortlisted for Two In-Comm Awards 2026

In-Comm Awards 2026

Here at ABL Aluminium Components Ltd, we’re delighted to announce that one of our apprentices have been shortlisted at the upcoming In-Comm Awards 2026.

Not only that, but the business has also been named as a finalist in the SME Employer of the Year category. Both award shortlists demonstrate our continued commitment to developing skills, investing in our people and supporting the next generation of manufacturing talent.

ABL apprentice Jamie Hassall’s award nomination is for the Learner of the Year Award, highlighting both his personal dedication and the impressive progress he has made during his apprenticeship journey with us.

The double-shortlisting reflects the importance we place on training, development and creating long-term career opportunities within modern manufacturing. That commitment to people is reflected throughout the business. Around 60% of our workforce has been with the company for more than 20 years! It’s something that we really are incredibly proud of.

Alongside retaining highly experienced employees, we are equally enthusiastic about developing a strong pipeline of future talent through apprenticeships, skills development and hands-on manufacturing experiences. As a business, here at ABL we continue to invest in both people and capability across our operations, supporting our loyal customers with aluminium fabrication, machining and value-added manufacturing services across a broad range of sectors.

Our General Manager Nick Dawson said:

“We’re incredibly proud to see both Jamie and the wider business recognised at the In-Comm Awards. We’ve built a very loyal and experienced team here over many years, and at the same time we’re passionate about creating opportunities for the next generation coming into manufacturing. To see that recognised through these award nominations is a fantastic achievement for everyone involved.”

Jamie Hassall, shortlisted for the Learner of the Year Award told us:

“I’m so proud to have been shortlisted. I’ve learned a huge amount during my apprenticeship so far here at ABL and I’m grateful to everyone in the business for the support and opportunities I’ve been given.”

The winners will be announced at the In-Comm Awards 2026 ceremony in July.
